The purpose of this article is to assist in sending out individual messages and whole centre announcements to families to receive in their KT Connect app.

Setting Up Messaging
You will need to set out the settings for your service/s to activate messaging and announcements. Go to Engagement and select Settings.
You can Globally turn on Account Messaging and Announcements
You can also set up messages service by service on the database
Permissions Required
There are permissions that relate to messaging that will need to be set out for the user role that needs to have access to messaging.
Creating Messages and Announcements
To message through Kangarootime, navigate to Engagement, then select Messaging from the drop down menu.
Announcements
Under Announcements select New Message
You can the select the Centre/s that you wish the announcement to got out to and will see them to the left highlighted with a pink box.
Now you can type the announcement and Send Message.
Account Messages
Under Accounts select New Message
Select the family or families that you wish to send a message to, you can search by typing, or filter by Centre or Tags
Once selected they will appear highlighted by a pink box.
Type your message and select Send Message.
Attach a File
Select the Paperclip icon to the left of the Send Message button to attach a file to the Announcement or Account message. This is handy to use when sending out Policy Updates to all of the accounts at your centre. Parents can also attach files to send to the centre.
Parent Feedback
A parent can respond to an Account Message that you have sent them. You will get notification in the notification bell.
To see the reply go to >Engagement >Messaging >Accounts, select the account and the reply will be there for you to read and respond.
