This document is designed to assist you with creating a forecast for a Free Kindy Queensland Kindergarten 2024 program for the centre. Navigate to the Free Kindy Forecast screen

Navigate to Subsidies in the menu, and select Kindy Funding from the drop down options.

On the Free Kindy screen, navigate to the Forecast tab. In this screen, you can view your Free Kindy program by centre, or by child, by selecting either the Centre or Child tabs.

The Centre tab will show an overview of all forecasts created for your centre. This includes:

Year
Term
Number of children receiving funding
Number of children receiving Kindy Plus funding
Status of the forecast
Funded Amount

The Children tab will show an overview of all forecasts created for each child attending Kindergarten within your centre. This includes:

Child Name
Year
Term
Status of the forecast
Funded Amount

Both the Centre Forecast screen and the Children Forecast screen can be filtered by Centre, Year and Term.

How to create a Forecast

Select the Run Report button on the top right hand side of the screen.

Enter the information required, then select Generate Report.

A Report will be generated in Excel format (.XLSX). This shows the data that will be sent to the government regarding the children in your Kindergarten Program.

How to read the Forecast

Open the Forecast Report. At the bottom of the report you will notice six pages. These six pages detail different information - Service Summary, Program Operation Days, Teachers, Child Summaries, Child Enrolments and Report Info. Click on any one of these tabs to open the corresponding page and view the information.

Service Summary

The Service Summary page of the report details the Centre Name, Reference Number, Beneficiary Account Number, Year, Term, Program Name, Number of Children Enrolled, and the average Daily Out of Pocket Fees.

Program Operation Days

The Program Operation Days page of the report details the Centre Name, Program Name, Program Known Enrolments. It then details each day of the 13 weeks of the selected Term - the starting date of each 13 weeks, and if each day in the 13 weeks will have a program delivered or not. The report will display 'Yes, a program will be delivered', or 'No, a program won't be delivered' depending on the dates that you are running your Kindergarten Program for. If you have entered any planned days off, including public holidays or school holiday dates, the report will display that the program will not be delivered on those days.

Teachers

The Teachers page of the report details the Centre Name, Program Name, and the first and last name and qualification held by the teachers that are associated with your kindergarten program.

Child Summaries

The Child Summaries page of the report details the children's information that is sent to the State government. It specifies the Centre Name, Child First and Last Name, DOB, Gender, ATSI (Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander) Status, the daily out of pocket fees for the child, if the child is from a non-English speaking background, if the child lives with a disability, if the child receives ACCS payments, if the child's guardian has a Health Care Card/Veterans Card, if the child is in Formal Kinship Care or Formal Protection Care, if the child is part of a multi birth, if the child's family has an eligible Visa, if the child is repeating the kindergarten year.

Child Enrolments

The Child Enrolments page of the report details the Centre Name, Child First and Last name and Program Name. It then details the hours the child attends for each day of the 13 weeks of the selected Term, as well as the starting date of each 13 weeks, and the weekly total hours attended for each child.

Report Info

The Report Info page details the date and time the report was generated on, the name of the user who generated the report, and the Parameters used to generate the report.
