For Frequently Asked Questions in regards to the automation of Kindy For All Queensland Kindergarten 2023 Funding payments, please see FAQ: Kindy For All (QLD Kindergarten 2023) Funding Automation.

Q: We forecasted without an ECT but hired an ECT 3 weeks after the program started. How do we acquit to show the ECT?
A: Link the ECT to the program. Set those specific 3 weeks as 'Planned leave' in the program calendar. That will acquit with the correct weeks having the program run by the ECT. (You can confirm this in your Acquittal report before submitting).

Q: We forecasted with an ECT but that ECT left and we were unable to replace immediately with a new ECT. How do we acquit with the name of the new ECT or do we just forecast the next quarter with the new ECT?
A: Add the new ECT name and qualification level to the program. Acquit. If the program ran the whole period with qualified teachers they should not see a break in funding. We recommend then removing the ECT who has left from the program after acquitting, before forecasting for the next period (to be more accurate).

Q: We forecasted with an ECT but they have resigned and we are unable to replace at the moment and have put just a Diploma Qualified in the room.  How do we acquit to show this change?
A: Leave both teachers names and qualification level on the program. Set the weeks the unqualified teacher was in the room as 'Planned leave' in the program calendar. (You can confirm that the weeks of ECT program are flagged accurately in the acquittal report before submitting). Acquit. We recommend then removing the qualified ECT from the program before forecasting for the next period (to be more accurate).

Q: Forecast warning: Child does not attend enough hours of the Kindy Program to be eligible for funding. What do I do?
A: You can submit the forecast with warnings, this specific warning is just making you aware that the child will not receiving any funding amounts.

Q: There is a child forecast to receive Kindy Plus but they currently receive ACCS. Do they also receive Kindy Plus if ACCS covers all of their fees?
A: If there is a child on the forecast that receives ACCS subsidy payments that cover all of their fees, run the forecast report and look at the out of pocket fees for the child listed on the report.

  • If the child's out of pocket fees are listed as $0.00, no Kindy Plus will be paid for the child, as there is no gap fee to apply the Kindy Plus funding to.
  • If the child's out of pocket fees are higher than $0.00, Kindy Plus funding will be allocated and paid for the child.
