Check Children In and Out of the Kiosk

Modified on Wed, 29 May at 11:57 AM

The Kiosk is used to mark a child as absent or attending for the day.  Actions taken in the Kiosk will be reflected in the Attendance screen of KT.

As an employee, read how to Open Kiosk for guardians to check in and out.

When parents get to the Kiosk, they are prompted to enter their phone number.

Once the phone number has been entered and correctly matches the phone number against the contact in the account, they will be presented with their contact information and requested to enter their PIN.
Please note: Contact PINs are created by the contact through the KT Connect app via Change PIN in the menu, or by a centre Employee on the Kangarootime web browser via the Change PIN button on the Contact Profile.

Note: If a parent shares a phone number with someone, or is a contact on multiple accounts they will be presented with a screen to choose which account they are signing in for first.

After successfully entering the PIN, the check in/out screen will appear.  You can only check in/out children that have a booking for the day and that you are linked to as a contact.

For each child, you can:
  • Check the child into or out of a session
  • Report an Absent day for the child

If your child is staying for the session, select Check In and they will be marked in.  Select Finished! once complete.

If your child is Absent, select Report Absent then click the relevant session and Submit.  You will have a successful action status display.

When the parent selects Finished!, the screen will return to the enter phone number screen for the next person to sign in.
