Point of Care - Overview View and Detailed View

Modified on Wed, 6 Mar at 1:13 AM

This guide will explain the different options for viewing information through the Point of Care App. The overview includes details of the centre, including children, ratios and staff in two views.

The Point of Care App once opened will default to 'Detailed View'. This will provide more detail regarding children, classrooms and staff, and it is recommended that you use this view.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Detailed View

This view is a detailed overview of the Classrooms, children, ratios and staff.

Detailed view will display the following two numbers on the left hand side at the top of the hexagons.

The top number (in this example 9/9) is the total number of children marked as present / the total number of children expected overall for the day

The bottom number (in this example 3/3) is the total number of staff present / expected staff (you don't need to use Scheduling as all staff with Employee profiles completed will display as available)

These two number counters, the child and staff counters, are also displayed on the left hand side of each individual classroom, as well as the centre. The classroom child and staff counters only count the children and staff for the displayed class.

Note - If a child is not signed in through the KT Kiosk but then checked into a classroom in it will automatically sign the child into Kiosk at this time. Eg. If child is checked into a room at 11:05am, this will be recorded as the child's sign in time.

Overview View

This view is a basic overview of the Classrooms, children, ratios and staff.

As in the Detailed view, Overview will display the following two numbers on the left hand side at the top of the hexagons.

All classes with children will be displayed on the main screen. If there are empty classes, these will display if Empty Classes is filtered to on. Similarly, if there has been other rooms created as a 'space', these will display if Empty Spaces is filtered to on. You can filter both Empty Spaces and Empty Classes by tapping on them in the top of the screen. If the Empty Spaces and Empty Classes tiles are off they will display as white, and when they are on and showing, they will display as blue.

Classroom Overview

Select the class name by tapping it, you will be taken to the classroom overview. This shows the class name, number of children present and expected, the ratio for the class, and number of staff marked as present in that classroom. It will also display photos/initials of children in the hexagons within the classroom box once expanded.

On the left hand side you can see the children that are currently 'Checked in' to the classroom. You can see the child's name, age of the child and the checked in time.

Child/Children that have not been 'Checked in' yet for the day or that have been 'Checked Out' are displayed on the right hand side. If the child has been checked out for the day, you will be able to see the checked out time.

The Ratio will display at the base of the screen with the Educator that is present in the room.

If there are Absent children within the class on the day, these will display if Absent Children is filtered to on. You can filter Absent Children by tapping on this in the top of the screen. If the Absent Children tile is white, it is off, if the tile is blue, it is on and showing the absent children.
