Lots of app updates, enrolment improvements and the release of the NSW Start Strong Program in Kangarootime!
Fixes
The Point of Care app has been updated to v1.1.59, and is now available for update in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This update includes an improvement to photo and centre load times.
The KT Kiosk app has been updated to v1.3.20, and is now available for update in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This update resolves issues with staff clock in/clock out. Staff will now be presented with the correct 'Clock Out' screen when they are clocking out of their shifts.
The KT Connect app has been updated to v2.7.1, and is now available for update in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store for parents at your centre. This update includes a few bug fixes.
The KT Workforce Connect app has been updated to v1.1.15, and is now available for update in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store for staff members at your centre. This update ensures that staff members are shown the correct 'Clock Out' screen when using the app to scan the QR Code to clock out of a shift.
In Lead Management, for enquiries involving multiple children where a centre offers a place for ChildA but not ChildB, ChildA was correctly showing on the Offered tab, but was also still remaining on the Waitlist tab. This is now corrected, and children will only show on the relevant Lead Management tab.
Improvements
We've made some updates to the wording in the enrolment enquiry related emails that get sent out to families. These should be a bit more straightforward for parents/guardians now.
We now have the ability to edit enrolment offers! Details of offers can now be changed, up until the parent/guardian accepts it. You can make changes to the offered program or class and fee, start date, attendance days and/or the offer expiry date. This can also be used to keep all the details the same but extend the expiry date. By default, when updating an offer it will email the new offer to the guardian, however this email can be skipped if the centre prefers.
Another one regarding enrolment enquiries; you can now update the days of the week that a family has requested care for while they're on the Waitlist. This is handy for long waitlists where the parent/guardian changes their needs before a place becomes available.
Following the introduction of the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Paid Practicum and Professional Development Grant payments, we have updated our transaction list to allow services to identify the ECEC Grant payments when viewing the CCSS payment report.
End of Care (EoC) screen display of dates was suffering from a time zone conversion issue. This has been resolved, and the dates on the EoC screen match the account session dates.
Centres and parents/guardians can now share attachments via Announcements and Account Messaging! Sharing of documents between centres and families has never been easier! Parent/guardians can easily share updated medical forms, and centres can share policy updates or important event invitations via announcements to the whole centre. Please see the Messaging through Kangarootime article for further information.
New Features
Managing the New South Wales Start Strong Fee Relief reporting is now available in Kangarootime! To be able to report on your Start Strong Fee Relief, you will need to create a Start Strong Program in Kangarootime, link your children to the program, and then enter the relevant information per child in the child's Agency tab. For more information and a step by step guide on how to do this, please see the Creating a Start Strong (NSW Kindergarten) Program and Add Children to a Start Strong (NSW Kindergarten) Program articles. The report will not produce child information until the program and agency links have been set up.
Note: Sometimes the features in our release notes are not visible to everyone. If you want to learn more or if you don’t see some of the above features but believe you should, please reach out to the Kangarootime Customer Support Team.
