Annual CCS Subsidy and Absence update
New CCS hourly cap rates will come into effect from 10th July 2023.
Allowable absences - after increasing the total amount of allowable absences during the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 financial years due to COVID-19, the total will now return to 42 absences per child for the 2023/24 financial year.

The Point of Care app has been updated to v1.1.50, and is now available for update in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This update includes a range of minor updates and improvements, including the ability to now run an Internet Speed Test directly from the KT POC app. Go to Settings > Run Internet Speed Test and click "Run Speed Test" to start the test. Results will display on the screen..  

The KT Kiosk app has been updated to v1.3.16, and is now available for update in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This update contains a fix to the "Number not found." error message when parents (with the same phone number in Kangarootime) enter their phone number. Additionally, staff that use the phone number check-in for the first time at a new centre within that business will auto-affiliate to that new centre.

The Queensland Kindergarten Funding Automation will be turned on for all customers as of Wednesday 5 July 2023 (tomorrow!). This feature will allow you to automatically distribute Affordability and Base funding subsidies to children. Centres can control at a centre or individual child level, the percentage of Base funding they want to automatically apply to eligible children each week. Weekly payments are created for the week in arrears to use the most accurate attendance data available.

We will be sending additional information separate to this to all of our QLD Kindy Providers and will assist with further questions you may have via our normal channels. improvements.png Improvements

QLD Kindy Early Acquittal options for centres who change software or ownership within a Queensland Kindergarten period, you are required to flag this information to the government. If you move from a different software to Kangarootime, you will use this option to submit a second Acquittal at the end of the period. The first acquittal is performed in your old software at the time you change software providers. Completed Enrolment Form PDFs are now condensed to reduce the font size and remove any extra empty spaces, saving loads of paper when printing.

The Lead Management Screen has had some enhancements! Users can now expand an enquiry and look over to the right to quickly gauge enquiry submitted and expiry dates, with these small enhancements:

  • The Offer Expiry Date has been added, where relevant, to the right of the Offer Details section. If the offer has expired, it will appear in red to alert the user.
  • The Enquiry Submitted date has been moved to the right of the Enquiry Details section also.

The Re-enrolment Form Web Link available against an enquiry is now protected by a security code, so that when it is sent to a guardian, they need to authenticate to get access to the form. We've also tightened up the security and privacy regarding information from secondary contacts who might be associated with other accounts.
