Point of Care - Ratio Overview Information

Modified on Wed, 6 Mar at 1:13 AM

The Point of Care (POC) app provides a quick at a glance ratio information to help educators, assistant directors, and directors easily see which room/space would benefit by moving children to a new room/space or if the class requires another educator.

Ratio Overview Hexagons

You can expand the Ratio information using the pink arrows at the bottom left hand side of hexagons.

Below is an overview of how ratios shown in the left-hand hexagons are determined and how you can use them to best place children and educators in a room/space.

Black Hexagon - If the hexagon is black this means the class is in ratio and can't take any more children. The class can however lose children (have children leave to another room/go home etc)

Green Hexagon - If the hexagon is green and has (+3) this means you can take that many additional children into the classroom.

Red Hexagon - If the hexagon is red you will see (-4) which is indicating there are currently four children who are checked in/present but due to the number of educators assigned to the room, the room is over ratio. This can either mean that no educator has been assigned to the class, or the room needs another educator within the class to ensure ratio is met. If showing red you will need to ensure a educator is assigned to the class to display the correct information.
