TABLE OF CONTENTS

Manage Casual Booking Rules

Navigate to Attendance on the menu, then select Settings from the drop down options. Select the Classes tab and your class from the menu. Once you have one or more classes selected, you can then select + Edit Booking Rules button.

Ensure that the classes you have selected are correct. Set Casual Booking Ability to active or inactive depending if you want parents to be able to book their child casually into the class. You then need to select parameters in regards to casual bookings that can be made at least or as far as (1-60) (hours/days/weeks/months) in advance. You will also need to select rules for casual and permanent booking cancellations, detailing that cancellations made (1-60) (hours/days/weeks/months) or less from the class will be marked as absent. Once these are all filled, select Apply to apply the booking rules for your class.

After the booking rules have been applied, the Casual Bookings column will display the class as Active.

Vacation Care Casual Bookings

If a child has an active contract in any room, and their age falls within the age range on the Vacation Care type class, the parent will be able to book a casual booking for Vacation Care through the KT Connect app.
If you use the Age override in class setup, KT will use the child's DOB to present the appropriate VAC classes to the parents for VAC booking selection.
If a child has no active contracts, they will not be able to book into any room. A child must have an active contract to be able to book VAC sessions through the KT Connect app.

Creating Casual Bookings through KT Connect

If you have set up casual bookings at your centre, parents will be able to book in casual sessions using the KT Connect Parent app. The article entitled Book Casual Sessions for your Child through KT Connect shows the user how these casual bookings can be made via the KT Connect app on their phone.
